Most record labels have evolved in Nigeria as a result of managing these talents who are yet to showcase their music gift.
Every now and then, we get to see a new music artist and thus a need for more expandable record labels to accommodate the undiscovered talents.

The Mo'Hits had artists like Wande Coal, Dr Sid, D'Prince and Kayswitch. The duo split in 2011 and Kayswitch the record label with his brother D'Banj.
Don Jazzy moved on with another record label named "Mavin Records" also known as Supreme Mavin Dynasty in 2012.
The record label sees the addition of Tiwa Savage as the first lady of Mavin records. It also added the likes of Di'ja, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Johnny Drille, Poe and DNA Twins.
On May 1, 2014, the label released their first official single "Dorobucci" which became an anthem and recorded massive airplays across the country.
They also followed it up more smashing hit singles such as Adaobi, Looku Looku and Jantamanta.
It was founded by Olamide in 2012 and had since grown into one of the best record label in Nigeria.
The record label had artists like Lil Kesh, Chinko Ekun, Adekunle Gold, Viktoh before they left. Olamide later signed the likes of Temmie Ovwasa, Davolee, Picazo Rhap, Yomi Blaze, Lyta and Limerick to the already recognized producers Young John, Pheelz and the YBNL official disk jockey, DJ Enimoney.
Made Men Music Group
The Made Men Music Group also known as Triple MG (MMMG) was founded by business enthusiast, Ubi Franklin in 2010.
Before then Ubi Franklin had worked as an assistant to comedian Julius Agwu and AY Makun before becoming a show promoter.
Ubi Franklin then became the manager of his cousin, Iyanya who was then the first music artist to be signed under the Made Men Music Group.
In 2014, the record label expanded to accommodate talents such as Tekno, Emma Nyra and Selebobo which saw the label released a compilation album "The Evolution" produced by Selebobo alongside Tekno and DJ Coublon.
Emma Nyra later left the label with Selebobo but Tekno had since been dropping hits back to back under the label from Pana, Rara, Go, Samantha to Jogodo.
G-Worldwide was founded by Emperor Geezy in 2007 and became a household name after signing its first music artist, Kiss Daniel in 2013.
The label later signed another reggae and R&B sensation, Sugarboy who also came through with his smash hit "Hola Hola".
Kiss Daniel left the record label and two new artist, Easy Jay and Ajura.
Capital Hill Records
The Capital Hill record label was co-founded by the renowned music director, Clarence Peters and IllBliss also known as Oga Boss.
The record label had the likes of Tha Suspect who also a producer, Chdinma, Fefe and Mz Kiss.
They released a collaboration single titled "Finally" which further introduced the label to the world at large.
Chidinma later left the label as a result of little disagreement with the record label.
Five Star Music
The five star music record label is owned by the businessman, Emeka Okonkwo popularly known as E-Money.
The record label is already a home to the likes of Kcee, Harrysong, Skiibii and Xbusta.
Harrysong left the label and unveiled his own record label "Alterplate". Skiibii also left and introduced his own record label "More Grace records".
Ever since Harrysong left, there has been a lot of controversies between Five star management and Harrysong.
The record label was founded in 2013 and stars the likes of Legendury Beatz, Maleek Berry and L.A.X.
Wizkid released his second studio album "Ayo" under his imprint and in 2016 he signed Mr Eazi and Ghanaian music sensation, Efya and R2Bees.
Davido Music Worldwide (DMW)
Davido Music Worldwide was founded by Davido to further discover talents in Nigeria.
He signed the likes of Mayorkun, Dremo, Ichaba, Peruzzi and Yonda.
Ever since the label came to limelight, it has been dishing out several collaborative singles including Aje and Mind.
Mayorkun who started his music career with the label had made it proud, releasing top notch singles from Eleko, Sade, to Mama and Posh.
Empire Mates Entertainment (EME)
The record label was a home to the likes of Dj Xclusive, Wizkid, Shaydee, Niyola and Skales.
Most of these artist have left to find a greener pasture most especially Wizkid who left to establish his own record label "Starboy Entertainment".
It was founded by Kenny Ogungbe in the late 1990s.
Most of the music stars in Nigeria had passed through the record label including Tony Tetuilla, KC Presh, Sound Sultan, 2face Idibia, Eldee, Eedris Abdulkareem, Jaywon, Olu Maintain and the late Goldie Harvey and OJB Jezreel.
Chocolate City is one of the biggest label in Nigeria founded by the trio of Audu Maikori, Paul Okeugo and Yahaya Maikori in 2005.
It was initially founded as nighclub before eventually becoming a promotions company and then a record label.

Alapomeji Ancestral records which was founded as Alapomeji records in 2008, is owned by Abolore Akande popualrly known as 9ice.
The label was rebranded in 2015 and music artistes such as Seriki, Kayefi and Wise who later left.
9ice was formerly under the label where he dropped his "Certificate" album. Other artistes in the label include Reminisce, Oladips and Sojay.
